Gaga for 67th Emmy Best-Dressed (2015)

We talk about red carpet Best-Dressed for simple reason: there is always lessons to be learned.

Since he is the only man in the list, it is only right to put Alan Cumming on top. Nailing a Vivienne Westwood suit with ease, he makes a 3-piece fun again. The proper vest and blazer make a remarkable contrast to the aladdin-style bottom, giving him an edge above the rest.

I love how a woman can be covered from neck to the toes and still look super sexy and hot. Jamie Alexander is giving this Armani Prive a strong look, with her short hair neatly styled back and strong eyes. It feels like the ‘electric vibe’ is running around her, but nothing is over cooked here.

I think this shimmery dress looks exceptionally graceful on Aubrey Plaza. Dressed to impress without trying too hard is well demonstrated here. The 3/4 sleeve compensates the revealing cuts. Alexandre Vauthier is a French Haute Couturier, but if you can’t afford one, start asking your tailor to custom this. It works from day to night at almost every occasion.

I have to include Hugh Dancy here because I think they look pretty good together, also the fact that this is the best picture for a full look of Claire Danes’ dress. Claire is a regular at Emmy and she knows how to pull a good one, but usually she goes for a sweeter look or a more neutral hue. This purple metallic number from Prada is a great change, and it gives her strength. Clean make-up and minimal jewelry to draw attention on the fuller look and chains on her dress.

Honestly I have grown quite fond of Lady Gaga and her recent fashion do. Proving that she is above the game and not restricted to mean pieces, she has been experiencing with cleaner and more elegant looks. Clearly she can pull off the demure sexy kitten look. This is a fine example.

After seeing her in all the usual boring gowns, I’ll have to include Kerry Washington here. This metallic number is fun and flirty, completely pushed up her game. Throw away those so-called-elegant looks that weight you down Kerry, do more extraordinary looks and exciting pieces, like the characters you play.
