This Week…

Vogue.com publishes a weekly ‘Best Dressed’ in its gallery section. I think it is definitely a good idea to scoop inspirations from the stars.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Perfect proportion. Long jacket with short ‘skort’ creates a lengthy silhouette. Boots to seal the muscular look. She speaks business even it’s a super short skort. But please bear in mind, unless you have legs like hers, do not attempt this boot style. Something that stops at the ankle (lower than the one shown here) would be a better choice.

Don’t wear floral-print skorts, or colourful boots. Sizeable and structured bag compliments the look, tiny purses won’t work.

Cara

Since she is hot on the ‘Paper Towns’ movie promo tour, we are going to see loads of Cara this month. This is how you wear lace on a hot day. Royal blue and a black bra, it works, along with the silky pants. Looks like a bodysuit and a fitting pants, or a full-length pant suit. No to accessories. Not sexy but pure coolness.

(Please no pink lace and black bra, very few people can pull that off.)

Charlize Theron

Yellow on dusty pink. Nude on everything else. Sleek up-do with only earrings. No prints anywhere else except the short dress. Casual, short but not out of reach. She still looks her age. Not attempting to compete with the younger chicks. Charlize Theron and her stylist is one of the finest teams around.

Don’t be afraid to do nude or dusty pink, but pick the one that makes you glow, not those that weight you down. Dress and act your age. Command respect through your dressing.
