It is utmost refreshing to see Dion Lee’s SS15 collection through a sea of colours and patterns. It is even more interesting to see the designer breaking through his personal best, much like the awesome Mary Katranzou with her FW14 collection.

From singular pieces to multiple patterns, Dion Lee strengthen his SS15 collection via decisive slits, cutting through all the right angles to create strong lines for the modern women.
Belts, straps, buckles, zippers and knots are all playing up in this collection, dividing sections and converging each into a complete form. Cut-out and folding lines are typically Dion Lee, but again it shows the clarity and decisiveness of Dion Lee’s signature preference for a woman’s silhouette.
Personal favourite: those nothing-to-shout-about rings on the thumbs, arm bangles, chokers and the indefinite bare faces are extraordinary in complementing the message.
