This is the first time Hunter presented itself as a full fledge fashion label, further exploring the world outside of rain boots. Yet, it has not forgotten its root, and the name it has made for itself. Naturally the show has to do with the function of the clothes, so you have water in the show. The models were strutting down the runway in water-resistant clothing, with none other than the Hunter Original boots.
It is only natural for Hunter Original to move into a full fledge fashion label with this direction, associate the make of clothing and the label with what it pioneers in. Shielding you from the demanding weather while looking super sleek. A raincoat is a must in London, and that is also the first thing you see on everyone on the street.
Ah, so, London Fashion Week is a good place to start.
There was cute dual colour sweaters, sleek double breast raincoats, clean cut fleece dresses, water-resistant duffel bags and those leather-looking pants (of course they are not) moving around in the water show, splashing the happy colours while life gives you lemon and bad weather.
I think Hunter Original has successfully created a very sleek and functional first collection, and it is nothing short of expectation. Yet it is safe to say that the label has merely extending what it has been doing on a broader horizon, not really going on to create a fashion label per say. Nothing too risky, nothing extraordinary. But then again, it was never the label’s philosophy to do that.
